This SOA hype is getting out of hand
Frans opened a can of worms. Although I have to say that I’ve been pretty much expressing similar views - just not as nicely defined.
Yes there is SOA and yes in time it maybe something useful, but for the moment it is definetly being treated similar to the time whn the .NET moniker was stuck on everything.
Part of this rush to market seems to be some perceived edge that companies supposedly have who can do SOA. Graham Glass has been working on Frabric for quite some time. Wonder how its going. Clemesn Vasters has tried a .Net analogous piece called Fabrique. (Geez whats with the names fellas)
Although Frans linked to Rocky’s misunderstood article, I found Rocky’s comments to be some of the most down to earth.
