What are you NOT doing…..???

Leon Bambrick points to a list of items he is not doing. I for one am NOT dealing with LINQ at the moment. I just don’t like it, and  I really hope the more people work with it the more people will publicize their issues . From super chattiness (40 queries instead of 3) to the inability to update disconnected entities and reconnect them without jumping through hoops. Really who has time to work with something that’s half-baked? I don’t. My tools need to perform out of the box. I mean really— nobody would consider buying a car if you have to stop and fill the tires with air every two days, so why put up with this mess ? I can’t help but wonder if we are seeing any sort of analogy with the evolution of Java where academic propeller-heads really got in the way of pragmatic software. Is LINQ what happens when brilliant academics get involved with business software?
